It’s a new month and we’ve got a new Author to spotlight here on Book Binge. The author we’re spotlighting this month is:

KAREN MARIE MONING!

Karen Marie Moning has a pretty impressive back list, if we do say so ourselves. It’s a back list that we’ve discussed endlessly and a back list that never ceases to keep us coming back for more. It’s been a very long time since I read some of the books on her back list and I’m looking forward to reacquainting myself with her characters.

Adam Black? Yum. Dageus and Drustan MacKeltar? *swoon* Cian MacKeltar? *sigh* Oh yes, there is a lot to look forward to re-reading this month.

Her back list of titles include some awesome books such as:

This month will definitely be filled to the brim with some re-reads that I’m most looking forward to reading again. Karen Marie Moning sure knows how to write those alpha, sexy heroes that will have you swooning with delight all throughout the books that she writes. She’s a great writer and this month we’ll be discussing everything Karen Marie Moning so you won’t want to miss out.

Let the Karen Marie Moning fun begin…

We’re going to start the KMM fun by starting the Last Hero Standing right now. One of my favorite things about KMM’s books are her heroes. They’re always so swoonworthy so this month’s last hero standing challenge is going to be very interesting and the voting starts right now so here’s the list of the KMM heroes that will start off the challenge:

Hawk from Beyond the Highland Mist
Gavreal “Grimm” McIllioch from To Tame a Highland Warrior
Circenn Brodie from The Highlander’s Touch
Drustan MacKeltar from Kiss of the Highlander
Dageus MacKeltar from The Dark Highlander
Adam Black from The Immortal Highlander
Cian MacKeltar from Spell of the Highlander
Aedan MacKinnon from Into the Dreaming
Jericho Barrons from The Blood Series

The voting has begun so make sure you get your votes in and make them count. Tell all of your friends to come on by and vote as well to help your hero out. Good luck to all the heroes this month and let’s keep the party going…=)

  1. I have always loved Dageus MacKeltar from The Dark Highlander. For me he has always been the perfect alpha hero. Rich, powerful, sexy yet flawed. There is something about the way Karen reveals this hero to the reader that has continued to fascinate me. This is my favorite book from the Highlander series (though I love them all)and when introducing “virgin readers” to the world of paranormal romace, I always include this in my list of “first reads” It stands alone very well though even more enjoyable when read in the order of the series. Dageus MacKeltar from The Dark Highlander has my vote!

So no V’Lane? Not that I’d have voted for him with all those yummy highlanders in competition. I just re-read all of her books over the last two months, so I am ready to vote. What a great author/series to spotlight!

  3. Jericho Barrons I love his character. I havent read the Highlander books. But I dont know if anyone can compare with Barrons.

  4. I vote for Drustan MacKeltar, since he was the first KMM hero that I read and he fueled my addiction for all of the Highlander and Fever books! I can’t WAIT for Shadowfever!!!!! JBZ IS A VERY CLOSE SECOND, in my book!

  5. Jericho Barrons. He is the man every woman wants, and every man wishes he was. He’s sexy, cunning, knows everything, and every evil, nasty thing is afraid of HIM. I love him!!!

  6. I’ve got to go with Adam Black. That’s not to say that it was an easy choice, of course, but he was such a mischievous, pompous bad boy. And when he’s brought to his knees, well, what’s not to love?

Oh and BTW, I will never read the Highlander series again. Ever. Nope, once I heard Phil Gigante perform the audio books, I become addicted to all the eargasms he gave me. ;-p

  7. My favorite is V’lane from the Fever series. He is my hero. Who needs Jericho when you got golden bliss on 2 legs? mwa ha ha ha.

BUT since he wasn’t listed, I chose the other Seelie Prince: Adam Black.

For me it’s a tie between Hawk and Drustan – I have always loved these two the best because of their incorruptable honor- they are just as attractive inside as out (and they are very attractive on the outside;)

Barrons has this one in the bag. Come on, the thrill of the chase, the mysterious ways, the secrets he holds, definitely a mans-man… The only thing is, I just can’t picture him dancing… That kinda blows my trip.

Karen Marie Moning writes a hero like no other. All her men are my men instantly. But, as much as I’d like to love both Barrons & Adam Black….Adam was my first and you never forget your first. I still dream about that sexy ultimate Fae male. However…since Adam is happily married and I don’t jump on another woman’s territory…I’m still holding out for Barrons. I got to eat his cake…..so yes, I’d like to find a way to have him too.

  11. Wow, that was a hard choice! All of KMM’s heroes are winners. But since it wouldn’t help to vote for all of them, I narrowed it down to Barrons and Drustan. But Barrons is by far, my favorite hero. He’s everything women dream of … a complex character that is sexy and mysterious, but deep down has a loving heart and unshakable loyalty. The way Karen has written Barrons, I feel like he is real and I just swoon when I read about him.

Is like picking your fav star in the Sky!!!!

All KMM heroes are to die for, but I wll narrow it to Cian MacKeltar (total Alpa male! you have to love it!) and JZB, all I have to say is YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYY….

JZB all the way! He’s the one I can’t stop thinking about. All KMM heros are sexy, but dark, mysterious, and sexy just can’t be beat!
