ARE THEY FIT TO BE TIED?

Ever since Dylan Stone beat Veronica Chasen out of a prime position at the Cleveland Courier, they’ve been bitter rivals, engaging in a very public war of words in their competing newspaper columns. They routinely challenge each other to go bungee jumping, white water rafting, or into tattoo parlors to see who will wimp out first. But Veronica’s latest taunt may be Dylan’s toughest assignment yet: She dares him to learn to knit.

OR WILL DESIRE UNRAVEL THEM BOTH?

Dylan is notgoing to let something his grandmother can do scare him off. He’s man enough to make a scarf—and attend Veronica’s weekly knitting circle. But when the infuriatingly handsome Dylan shows up at the craft shop and charms all the ladies, Veronica starts to get all knotted up in something that feels a lot like love…

It was the first line in this book that made me buy it.

He wished she didn’t have such a terrific ass.

I’m not really into knitting, so I probably wouldn’t have bought it based on the back cover. Still, I was intrigued and in the mood for something light and funny, so I picked it up.

Ronnie and Dylan have been at odds since the Dylan got the job Ronnie wanted. Since that day, it’s been war between the two of them. From bungee jumping to sky diving, they challenge each other to do something in the hopes that it can’t be done. Ronnie has even taken up Dylan’s challenge to get a tattoo. Now it’s her turn and payback is a bitch. She decides to challenge Dylan to learn how to knit. She’s confident that this is one challenge he’ll fail.

Dylan has long been attracted to Ronnie, but the last thing he’s going to do is let her know it. When she challenges him to learn how to knit, he thinks it will be a piece of cake. It’s only after a weekend of reading every knitting book that he can get his hands on that he realizes it’s not going to be as easy as he thought. He might even have to join a, *gasp*, knitting group.

Ronnie can’t believe that of all the knitting groups in the city, Dylan has to come to hers. She also has no idea how she has gotten talked into teaching Dylan how to knit. She doesn’t exactly want him to win. When they start spending more time together, Ronnie realizes that Dylan is not as bad as she first thought. In fact, her attraction to him is going far past only the physical.

This book was cute. It made me smile a few times, especially when Dylan was learning how to knit. The one thing I wasn’t crazy about was the old lady matchmaker. I never have really liked that in my books. It wasn’t too bad, yet it was something I could have gone without. There were several characters introduced that I look forward to reading more about.

I also want to learn how to knit now.

3.5 out of 5.
