Another Sam and Alyssa Book, YAY!

So I just finished Dark of Night and I’ve been looking around to see what we can look forward to from Suzanne Brockmann and I’m so facking happy to see that the next Troubleshooter book will be another Sam and Alyssa story. I have been such a huge Sam fan since I first met him early on in the series and Alyssa hated his guts.

I loved Sam when we first met him in The Unsung Hero and my love for his character has carried over through the rest of this series and Sam Starrett still remains one of my most favorite heroes of all time. I can’t wait for this book and I’m so going to buy this in hard cover.

*sigh*

Look at the synopsis for this book:

Following her sizzling novel of romantic suspense Dark of Night by less than six months, New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann returns to Troubleshooters, Inc., and fan favorites Sam and Alyssa

Troubleshooter Alyssa Locke and her husband, former Navy SEAL Sam Starrett, were brought to center stage in Gone Too Far, the sixth book in Suzanne Brockmann’s sexy, suspenseful New York Times bestselling series. Now these fan favorites are back to continue their story!

Alyssa takes on the extremely public assignment of providing personal protection for Savannah von Hopf, an old friend who is running for office. While high-profile, the bodyguard job seems simple and easy enough—except Alyssa is juggling her stressful leadership position with a new baby and a husband who is her subordinate.

When Alyssa receives several disturbing messages from “the Dentist,” a serial killer she has relentlessly pursued for years, Alyssa must take action to protect those closest to her. No one is safe, even after the FBI—including Sam and Alyssa’s good friend Jules Cassidy—gets involved. But Alyssa knows that as the Dentist’s true target she must use herself as bait to catch the devious killer—before he strikes again.

So what do you guys think about that? Are you excited about reading this book? Are you excited to read another story featuring Sam and Alyssa or do you wish that they would fade away into the sunset?

This book is available from Ballantine. You can pre-order it here.

  1. I believe SB has said that this is an old synopsis. I think the Savannah running for public office part is out of the book. All I know for sure is that it’s still a Sam and Alyssa book.

  2. I don’t know. I may be one of only a few people who aren’t totally in love with Sam and Alyssa.
My fav. couple is Cosmo and Jane. and after reading DON I now love Deck and Tracey. I ofcourse will read the book, but… I can take or leave sam and alyssa.

  3. YEAH!!! I just finished re-reading Gone Too Far. I had read it about twoyears ago and HATED it! I had not read the first few booksin the series and was pretty much grabbing them as they became available to me at the Library. BIG MISTAKE! At the end of last year I started reading the series in order. I started with Unsung and just moved right up the line of characters. I started loving Sam and Alyssa and after reading Mike’s story and the whole open storyline with Mary Lou, Gone too Far made perfect sense and I was able to love the book. So now I’, moving on to Flashpoint (the first book I ever read by Brockmann) and hope to get to Dark of Night before March. I’ll definitely be ready for more Sam & Alyssa!!
    Thanks for the scoop!

  4. I love Sam and Alyssa but am slightly disappointed that another character won’t be getting their story. Not sure which character I would choose at this point to have their own book, maybe Lopez? but the book does sound good.

LOL…I’m so excited too, like Jesse Spano excited! hahah.

    Sweet,

Thanks for that bit of info, the more info on this book I can get, the better!

  6. Two OMGs! First, Christina? Your fave is Cosmo? Mine too, and I never thought I’d find another who agreed, LOL. Cool.

Second, I’m 1/3 of the way into DON and am finding myself charmed by Sam all over again…so yeah, THIS is fabulous news. Thanks Rowena!

Sorry, Holland, I’m a lover of the Sam. The scene where Alyssa gets him in the nads – yum.

I may just have to buy this one in hardcover also.

Well, I’m conflicted. I do love S&A, but I don’t feel the need for a whole ‘nother book about them. And I really would like to find out what happens to Izzy and whatserface. Am I the only person who cares about them? 🙁

Have to agree that Dr. Creepy, as some astute person dubbed her, could fall off the face of the earth and I wouldn’t be disappointed. — willaful

Yes, yes, yes – Sam and Alyssa are my all time favorite fiction-lit couple ever!! (Rhett & Scarlett are very close seconds) I’m so ready for this book. Hope there’s a little relationship conflict because the making up would be oh so sweet. the bonus would be a little Jules/Robin and my total fantasy book would include Max and Gina. I sincerely hope SB lays off the Jesus word- I love him and the fragrant use of his name in vain drives me crazy!
