From Books To Movies…

…yes, it’s another one of those kinds of books to movie posts but instead of asking a question, I’m just sending along some information for those of you out there who are fans of Jane Porter’s book, Flirting with 40.

If you’re a fan of the book then you’ll be happy to know that Lifetime has brought the book to life and the made for TV movie will premiere on the Lifetime Channel on December 6th, 2008 at 9pm EST/PST so you will definitely want to check it out. I’m not sure if it’s showing the same time everywhere so you might want to check your local listings for this one, it looks cute and I for one will definitely be tuning in.

Especially since the hottie from The Lipstick Chronicles is in the movie. That’s enough to make me power up the DVR.

I don’t remember his real name but I know that his name on the show is Kirby. He’s the one that’s having the affair with the older woman, the one who’s husband had like a stroke or something and Brooke Shield’s character wasn’t talking to her because she was being a slutty tramp behind her husband’s back…you know which character I’m talking about? Ehh, here’s a picture of the hottie guy:

Did anyone ever watch the Nora Roberts made for TV movies that came out I think it was last year…were they any good? I wanted to watch them but always forgot when they came on and that was long before I ever got DVR so I’m wondering if I should netflix those movies or not.

Hollar back, would cha? And there, I’ve done my good deed for the week. Have a great one and happy watching!

  1. Willa

I watched the NR movies – normally films like this aren’t a patch on the books and some are hardly recognisable BUT in this case they weren’t bad.

They all followed the books pretty well, especially Angel’s Fall and Carolina Moon, although I didn’t like the casting of Heather Locklear. Montana Sky was good, although the story had been chopped about a bit to fit the films length.

I did enjoy watching each one to spot Nora doing her cameo – was great in Montana Sky dancing with BW!

  2. I saw Montana Sky as well and thought it was fairly well done for how much had to be cut out to fit the time. I wanted to see the others but somehow missed them. *sigh*

You’re right, the hottie is worth programming the DVR.
