Book Watch: Not Another Bad Date by Rachel Gibson.

Who’s ready for the last book in the writer’s series by Rachel frickin’ Gibson?

I AM!

What does a gal have to do to get a good date in this town?

Adele Harris can’t even begin to answer that question. She’s had so many lousy dates that she’s sure she’s cursed. Why else would every man she goes out with suddenly act like he’s lost his mind—and his manners? Adele thought life couldn’t get any more confusing . . . until she learns the marriage of her seemingly Miss Perfect sister is on the rocks. So she goes back to their hometown to give her a shoulder to cry on, only to run smack into Zach Zemaitis . . . the one who got away.

Texans love God, family, and football, though not always in that order

Zach, a former pro star, knows all about football. As for the other two, well, he’s doing his best. But when Adele comes charging back into his life—still all lush curves and beautiful, big blue eyes—he wonders if his best is good enough. After all, he did her wrong. Can a woman with her track record ever really believe that he’s serious this time . . . or is he destined to be another bad date?

Check it out! It’s only 7 more days until we can get our hands on that hot dang book I’ve been anxiously awaiting! WOO HOO!

This book is available from Avon. You can pre-order it here or here.

  1. LOL, I’ve been checking Chapters/Indigo online daily to see if they got a copy yet ^_^; I like the set up… small town and former pro sport star 😛

  2. I can’t wait to get my copy!! Woohoo. LOL

Hmm…I should hurry up and read I’m In No Mood for Love. 😛

  3. I am waiting and watching for this one. My B&N usually gets my books to me early but this one has been MIA. Must be a strict on sale.

  4. Ugh, not so fun… excitement means building up expectations which are 75% not fullfill.

I went on her website to read an excerpt… what kind of excerpt was that? clearly not enough for me, LOL 😛

  5. *prepares to gloat*

I got an ARC (lol Sybil!) of this one a few months ago.

  7. I went on her website to read an excerpt… what kind of excerpt was that? clearly not enough for me, LOL 😛

I know it was a total tease !!!!! I love reunion romances and I love them even better when the hero has done the heroine wrong and has to prove himself in some way. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.

  8. pssttt… it is easier to get my attention at TGTBTU.

Glad you liked it! And yeah I still think it is odd to mention you have an ARC or whatever in every comment.

::shrug:: whatever makes you feel good I guess… go team you! Have you put up a review yet?

  9. Wendy, that was just mean. Oh and you could review it and help us out, poor souls that we are LOL 🙂

Sweet, I totally agree with you! Too short… but at the same time, it was a great “meeting again” encounter no?

    Sybil,

Hey, glad to see you over here! =)

  11. Sybil, I actually have very few of them, you’re just lucky you’ve read the comments that has to do with them (Wicked Game and this one I think)

Aw, Nath sorry! I wasn’t trying to be mean, just thought it was a bit funny. I did review it (it was sent to me for just that) I went looking for it and here it is:

Adele Harris has had so many lousy dates that she’s sure she’s cursed. Why else would every man she goes out with go from having manners and being nice to acting like a complete jerk? Adele thought life couldn’t get any more confusing until she learns the marriage of her seemingly Miss Perfect sister is on the rocks. So she goes back to their hometown to give her a shoulder to cry on, only to run smack into Zach Zemaitis . . . the one who got away years ago.

Zach is a former pro star turned High School coach who can’t stop thinking about Adele since he saw her again and is becoming more attracted to her each day. Will their relationship work out this time or is he destined to be just another bad date?

Rachel Gibson has always been one of my favorite authors so I started reading this book confident it would be another great one and Gibson definitely did not disappoint. I liked Adele’s character a lot, especially how she dealt with having to go back to her home town for her sister and meeting her ex-boyfriend after he broke her heart years ago. Zach grew on me, at first I thought he was a dumb jock but as the story progress, I liked his character more and more. Not Another Bad Date was a wonderful story with great, funny characters full of sass and I look forward to reading more of Gibson’s great writing.

I’m actually not a big fan of these types of story line but it’s Rachel Gibson and I am a fan of her work so I had to give it a try. 🙂
