I’m a romance girl. I rarely read anything other than romance and I pretty much stick to historical, contemporary and paranormal…with the occasional UF stuck in there for good measure. I also read m/m romance which is usually contemporary or paranormal.
I do accept, on occasion, books for review from authors, publishers and/or media outlets. I also get some books from Netgalley as well. I’d say 95% of the books that I read are purchased by me or given to me by friends (not including the books that I do guest reviews for on The Book Binge).
The fact that I accept books from outside parties does not guarantee a review in that books favor. I like to be truthful to my friends and blog readers about the books I read and whether I’ve purchased the book or received it from an outside party I will be completely honest in how I feel about that book – whether it’s positive or negative.
If you offer something up for review know that it will fall somewhere in this category on my rating scale:
5 Stars = Excellent
4 Stars = Very Good
3 Stars = Good
2 Stars = It was OK/Not So Good
1 Star = Sucks
I also add the incredibly handy 1/4 and 1/2 star in there a lot but I’m sure you can figure it out.
