ok, here are a list of books I’ve read and quick comment about them. Things are still really busy at home.

204 Rosewood Lane by Debbie Macomber

Dear Listener,
If you’ve been to Cedar Cove before we’ve probably met. You can usually find me either at home or at the public library, where I work. I’ve lived in this town all my life and raised two daughters here. But my husband and I – well, about six months ago, he disappeared. Just . . . disappeared. Where’s Dan? Why did he go? Who’s he with? Will I ever find out?

My hometown, my family and friends, bring me comfort during this difficult time. Comfort and a sense of shelter. I’m continually reminded that life can and does go on. For instance, everyone’s been discussing weddings and babies lately. Justine – the only daughter of my best friend, Olivia Lockhart – impulsively got married a little while ago. My own daughter Kelly recently had a baby. Unfortunately, she refuses to accept that Dan might not return to see his first grandchild. My older daughter, Maryellen, is more realistic. I think she’s seeing a new man, but for some reason she won’t tell me who it is.

Then there’s Jack, who’s been pursuing a romance with Olivia, and his son, Eric, and Eric’s girlfriend, Shelly (I think she’s pregnant), and Zach and Rosemary Cox, whose marriage is reputedly on the skids and . . . Well, just come on over and we’ll talk!

Give this one a 4/5. A lot of the characters got on my nerves but i still enjoyed reading this book. We see what happened to husband who went missing back in the first book. This books ends with us wonder how this one couple with cope a divorce with unseal custody arrangements. The kids get to stay in the home, but the parents have to move in and out of the house.

This Rake of Mine by Elizabeth Boyle

Scandal, outrage, ruin, rapture … Who knows where one kiss can lead?

Grade 3.5/5. I liked it but still found myself skimming towards the end. And there is no nookie until towards the end. What’s up with that!!!!!

Confessions at Midnight by Jacquie D’Alessandro

Carolyn Turner, Viscountess Wingate, is absolutely shocked by the Ladies Literary Society of London’s latest selection. Memoirs of a Mistress is scandalously explicit and downright wicked . . . and it’s stirring feelings within Carolyn that she hasn’t felt . . . well, ever! She’s sure that this steamy read is the only reason she’s succumbing to the charms of notorious rogue Daniel Sutton, Lord Surbrooke. She couldn’t possibly be falling for the rascal and his illicit caresses . . . or could she?

The last thing Daniel wanted was to be shackled by marriage vows. He lusted after Carolyn, sure, but he never imagined that once he lured her to his bed he’d never want to let her go. Yet only when a murderer targets his beloved will he be spurred to confess his true love . . . and claim Carolyn as his bride.

Grade 4.5/5. I really like this one. Kind of reminded me of Julia Quinn’s When He Was Wicked. In the sense we have a widow who actually loved her husband, loved making love to him and wanting to move forward with her life.

  1. What you’ve written about the D’Allesandro makes me want to read it now! The fact that she did love her husband, and wasn’t practically a virgin when she meets the hero is so good!

  2. D’Allesandro dealt with two mature adults and that first intimate scene between the two was way HAWT!
The next story will be Juliane’s story in 2009. 🙂

  3. Hey Isabel 😀
