Christmas Gift Alert: Where the Sidewalk Ends Book and CD

When I was a little girl, my grandmother bought me a copy of Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. It’s a collection of poems and short stories, aimed at younger children. I loved it. I still love it.

My favorite is Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout who will not take the garbage out. I used to giggle under my covers as I read it.

Enter the world of Shel Silverstein…

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Shel Silverstein’s most popular book, Where the Sidewalk Ends is now available in a special edition containing the classic hardcover book and a CD of highlights from his Grammy Award-winning album. This is a wonderful gift and keepsake for Shel Silverstein fans, old and new.

From the outrageously funny to the quietly affecting — and touching on everything in between — here are poems and drawings that illuminate the remarkable world of the well-known folksinger, humorist and creator of The Giving Tree.

This is a fabulous gift for your child, niece, nephew…or even someone older, who might want to relive a wonderful time in their childhood. To be honest? I’m hoping one of these ends up under the tree for me this year.

You can buy it here .

And it’s on sale at Amazon and Barnes and Noble (without the CD).
