Looking for a place to donate some books? Author Rene Lyons has set up The Anthony Ferrisi Foundation. It might be just what you’re looking for. Check it out:

The Anthony Ferrisi Foundation is a non-profit organization that accepts book donations for drug rehabilitation facilities and hospitals all over the country. Our goal is to provide the beauty and enjoyment of the written word to those who need it most.

Anyone can donate. Publishers, authors, readers….please help us rebuild lives one book at a time by donating your new or used books. All genres are needed, from biographies to romance.

You can reach Renee or Frank at rene@renelyons.net for more information of the Anthony Ferrisi Foundation.

The Anthony Ferrisi Foundation was started by Rene Lyons/Renee Rocco and her husband Frank in honor of her brother Anthony, who was fatally struck by a car on May 26th 2005.

Here is the site’s future address: www.AnthonyFerrisiFoundation.com

This is a great place to donate those books you want to see go to a good cause. Please donate!

To help spread the word, we here at Book Binge are offering a contest!

  1. Thank you everyone, for such a positive response to something that was borne out of the grief of losing my brother. I honestly have no words to express how humbled I am that so many people have helped spread the word and the outpouring of contributions.

And as always, to the ladies of BB, love ya lots!

What a fantastic idea! And a lovely way to pay tribute to your brother, Renee. I’ll definitely be sending you an email. I have gazillions of books just waiting for a proper home. My hubby will probably get down on his knees and kiss your feet for giving me just the right place for my books 🙂
