Alright, so I started doing this meme last week over at my personal blog, and we thought it’d be cool to do the meme here on our team book blog as a team, so starting this week, Izzy, Holly and myself will be adding our thoughts to the weekly questions over at Booking Through Thursday.
This week’s question:
Do you have any old school books? Did you keep yours from college? Old textbooks from garage sales? Old workbooks from classes gone by?
How about your old notes, exams, papers? Do you save them? Or have they long since gone to the great Locker-in-the-sky?
1) I wasn’t allowed to keep any of my high school text books because then I’d have to pay for them and well, my sister (who was my guardian throughout my high school years) would not let me keep them, not that I wanted to or anything so yeah, NO I didn’t keep those books but my college text books, I DID keep. I still have my math book, my English books and some other books that I still read from time to time, I love reading my Creative Writing text book, it gets my brain moving when I’m in my writing mode.
2) I didn’t keep any of my notes or anything like that but I do still have all of my A papers from college. I don’t have too many of my school papers from high school, the only things that I still have from my high school years are the letters that old boyfriends and my friends have written me over the years, it’s so funny to go back and read the crap we used to agonize over because all of it seems so silly to me now but back then???? Oh no, it was life or death. haha.
1) I used to keep the interesting ones. Like my anthropolgy book or my human sexuality book. Everything else went back to the bookstore. I needed cash. However, I no longer have the books I did keep. We did a big spring cleaning before I got married and there was really no point in keeping them so off to the used book store they went.
2) Notes are all gone. I’d keep them for the school year/semester. On the last day of class, those suckers went to the recycle bin.
Until next time!
